This heater was bought to replace an approximately 40 year heater. Over the 40 years it was used on many occasions but not exclusively as a main form of heating a room. The cabinet of the replacement is made of a much thinner material, in fact there was a slight deformation on unpacking. I doubt if this will last anywhere near the time of the previous one. If used as a standby for intermittent use and treated with care should last a number of years. Ensure adequate ventilation is provided whilst using to avoid any problems with the products of gas combustion. **Q: ive not received my order yet and trying to contact seller..Does anyone have contact details.** A: I contacted the seller through the amazon site.
