Unlike the other reviews on here, I haven't had the privelage of hearing them in concert. However, I was more than pleased with what I heard on the album. At times their songs are almost too subtle, somehow gliding by without grabbing you, but the songwriting here works well enough so that never really completely happens. They've got some delta blues in them and obviously some folk."Shiny Shoes," "Behind the Times" and "Heart and Bones" are just three of the best songs on here. They are all good though, but if you want to hear the best of what this album is about, the songs mentioned in this review are a good place to start.KEY TRACK: "Heart and Bones" ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wonderful blues album *by R***Y on February 24, 2014* One day I happened to hear a song by the Pines on NPR, and I had to hear more. Although I have long enjoyed the music of Bo Ramsey, I knew nothing about his son or this group. Nevertheless, this album is one on which every single song is terrific.
