In other words, you can have a knob with a key cylinder, but not a lever. With a lever you use a deadbolt for locking. **Q: Is there a dummy handle available for double front doors?** A: This is what I purchased to put on the "dummy" side of our double front doors. The Schlage looks good, but it had a knob and they didn’t seem to over a lever handle. I almost took a chance on the cheaper version of this at around $50 but the reviews said it was kind’ve light weight, so I sprung for the $101 Kwikset, as I’ve always found the product line to be well made. This set did not disappoint. It is very heavy and the finish is beautiful. It was very easy to install and the feature of the variable range of the bottom fastener of about 1.25” is pretty cool for replacing an existing set of similar design. Unfortunately, mine was about an inch out of range. Nice feature, though. It operates very smoothly and feels kind of elegant to the touch. Spend the extra dough on this.
