I'm 5'6" and they don't stretch long enough for me. I believe that the nylon sleeves keep it from stretching to it's full potential length. **Q: How long ate the bands?** A: The bands measure 46-inches from webbing to webbing. If you include the metal clips add approximately 2-inches to each side or about 50-inches overall. **Q: Where are they made at?** A: 99% sure CHINA. They are not Heavy Duty I sent them back I was so disappointed with the quality. **Q: Is Nylon cover really protect from injury?** A: Yes. Resistance bands are just really big rubber bands, and over time, rubber can become died out and brittle leading to cracks and tears that can cause the bands to snap. Having the nylon cover helps in two ways: 1. Keeps them from being exposed to sunlight and dry air, things which accelerate the breakdown of rubber, and... 2. Should they snap, the band can't whip you in the face, or any other place, because it's encased in the nylon.
