I took a chance on this one and was very pleased with the weight and pliability of the material. It held its shape for nesting the baguettes while final proofing. Its size works for two home-oven sized baguettes. Most recipes make four loaves, so you may want to buy two. Bakers recommended that you not wash couches. So far, so good for staying clean by shaking them off after use. For storage, I recommend rolling them up instead of folding to avoid ridges. Highly recommended.

A: It measures 29 x 18 inches

A: Although there is no label on the cloth, it looks like a blend of linen/cotton. Almost like a light duty canvas cloth but just the right amount of texture to make a quality proofing cloth.

I was using some nonstick pan to raise and bake the baguette, and not long after nonstick layer started to peel off. Therefore I had to throw away all the non stick baking pans and got this, also baking stone. It will be nice if high heat tolencnce parchment paper was used otherwise it may be difficult to transfer the bread.
