Or does it just rotate 360 around portrait/landscape axis?** A: The arm can rotate 360 degrees around the base (barring any restrictions from the cables). The monitor can only rotate about 180 degrees around the mounting point on the arm. I have a 1/4 inch thick glass desk for reference. Or would adding some plank to the clamp be an alternative?** A: I tried it with the glass standing desk from Costco and it works fine, I put a book (or a piece of wood, or something) between the clamp and the desk to distribute the stress better and I feel comfortable with it. I tried it directly on the glass and it didn't crack, but it was making me nervous.
