Good shoes/insoles are VERY important to me. When I replaced the NB insoles with these, I could tell an immediate difference. They were definitely comfortable, but much more firm than I was used to. The NB's that I had were definitely cushy. At first, I was worried that these were too firm, but after a month of walking my feet, knees, and legs still felt great. These were also much thicker than the original insoles, my feet barely fit in the NB's after I replaced them. Things were definitely tighter, but not unbearably so. One strange note: these made an odd "squeaking" sound (more like a farting sound) with every step. It was definitely due to the NB's I had though, probably rubbing against the inside somewhere. I also used them in a pair of non-running shoes that were so worn and flat that I couldn't wear them for more than a day. These are now my main shoe again thanks to these. They are more comfortable than when they were new. I usually replace shoes about every two months, but these will at least double the life. I've been using these for nearly two months and they're no where near worn. When I used the wide guidelines suggested on the website, I found what was delivered was about 3/4" short. This has been uncomfortable for me. Type in sof sole airr insole for women and select the correct size range so that you don’t have to trim them much if any at all. The original insole in one shoe had come loose and I wasn't able to successfully glue it back in place. Also the original topsider insoles are pretty thin, so I wondered if these would make them a little more comfortable for longer walks. They seem to fit my size 10's perfectly. They definitely add cushioning, and are generally more comfortable for longer wear. But there are a couple of things to keep in mind. The first is that, as shown in the illustration, these insoles extend the full length of the shoe. This could change the way they fit, as could the fact that they are thicker than the original insoles. I also have a relatively high instep, which makes the shoes a bit more snug through the forward part of the shoe.
