It ensures optimal osmotic balance and biochemical function for fish, invertebrates, and aquatic plants, making it essential for maintaining healthy, naturalistic aquarium environments. Trusted by aquarists for its scientifically backed formula, it supports delicate species and planted tanks while offering excellent value and ease of use. ## Description Fishes and aquatic plants and invertebrates require that specific elements be present in the water to aid with osmotic balance and ensure proper biochemical function, contributing to overall long-term health and survival. Remineralīz fulfills this requirement with a formulation based on data compiled from up-to-date aquatic research. Calcium is required for blood clotting, bone formation, and several metabolic processes in fish, and is required for cell wall stability/permeability and enzymatic processes in plants. Potassium and Sodium are of extreme importance to fishes, as they are required for proper neurological and muscular functioning. Potassium is also required for protein synthesis, water and charge balance, and enzyme activation in plants. Magnesium is a component of chlorophyll and is utilized in enzyme activation. Sulfur is a component of proteins and the coenzymes that are involved with nutrient utilization and growth. Silicon, as silica, is an important component of plant cells, helping increase their strength and improving root growth, and acts as a buffer against pH shift. Note that TDS and GH are not measuring the same ionic concentrations, and therefore they do not necessarily have a direct conversion; GH is related to the sum of divalent cations (predominantly calcium and magnesium) in solution, whereas TDS (total dissolved solids) measures the concentration of conductive substances in solution. This information is provided for reference purposes only. In general, aquatic habitats located in forested regions have a relatively-low concentration of dissolved inorganic substances, hence the general hardness and TDS are also low. Remineralīz is formulated to adjust water chemistry in aquaria housing fishes and plants indigenous to nearly every aquatic habitat, however it is recommended that Rift Lake Chemie be used to remineralize purified water meant for use in aquaria housing fishes from the East African Rift Lakes, as it has been formulated specifically for that purpose. Review: The Best Remineralizer for RODI water - I puchase this product once a month for my RODI Water. It is a necessary item if you use RODI water for tropical fish. I have very tender species of tropicals that I cannot use ro water with. This product maintains the proper mineralization without being harmful even with accidental increased dosing. It works fine with buffers of any kind. I raise betta fry in the water with this product which is amazing how much difference it makes over other brands of remineralizer. This product is easier to find than other brands plus the price is reasonable if you follow the dosing. One 500 ml bottle lasts me for aprox 1000 gallons. Excellent product for the price. Review: Great for planted tank owners. - Love this product. I hate what powdered calcium supplements do to my planted aquarium. This product prevents that dust. ## Features - Establishes an optimal mineral balance in water that has been purified, filtered, (reverse osmosis, deionization, distilled etc.) or is exceedingly soft (well water in forested regions) for all freshwater aquariums - Provides a beneficial ratio of potassium, calcium, magnesium, and sodium: vital elements to overall health of fishes, invertebrates, and many aquatic plants - May be used to establish water parameters in aquaria filled with purified water, to replenish depleted elemental concentrations in aquaria that rarely receive a water change, and to re-establish beneficial mineral concentrations following large water changes - Beneficial for freshwater biotope aquaria housing fishes indigenous to forested and/or riverine habitats ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B004ZLLHO8 | | ASIN | B004ZLLHO8 | | Age Range Description | All Life Stages | | Best Sellers Rank | #77,273 in Pet Supplies ( See Top 100 in Pet Supplies ) #735 in Aquarium Water Treatments | | Brand Name | Brightwell Aquatics | | Customer Reviews | 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars (67) | | Date First Available | May 6, 2011 | | Date First Available | May 6, 2011 | | Directions | Shake well before use. This product prevents that dust. ### ⭐ Don't Waste Your Money! *by R***D on March 19, 2024* First of all my bottle was not sealed and was leaking, only approx. 5 ml. was missing but that's not the main issue. When I try a new product like this I like to set a base line with one gallon of RO Water. I started with 1ml of product in one gallon and nothing. I kept adding 1 to 2 ml at a time and testing until I reached 40ml and got no increase in dGH. I tested the product straight out of the bottle and only got a reading of 1 dGH in a 5ml sample. I thought this would be my answer over using powdered products but not where you have to empty a whole bottle in a 5 gallon bucket of RO water to do a water change in a 20 gallon tank. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT. UPDATE: I returned this product for a replacement thinking I just received a bad batch. My replacement bottle was exactly the same as the first. Don't waste your time and money on this product!!!! ## Frequently Bought Together - Brightwell Aquatics Remineraliz - Adds Minerals to Distilled, Deionized, or Reverse Osmosis Water for Freshwater Aquarium Use 500-ml - API GH & KH TEST KIT Freshwater Aquarium Water Test Kit, 2.5 oz. - API FRESHWATER MASTER TEST KIT 800-Test Freshwater Aquarium Water Master Test Kit, White, Single, Multi-colored --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.us/products/23190937-remineraliz-gh-and-tds-mineral-supplement-500ml](https://www.desertcart.us/products/23190937-remineraliz-gh-and-tds-mineral-supplement-500ml) --- *Product available on Desertcart United States of America* *Store origin: US* *Last updated: 2026-10-26*
