I wanted a cable hatch that would be large enough diameter to fit into the existing 3.5" hole that housed a 4.25" (outer dimensions) water inlet port. I no longer use a water tank in the van (I use jugs instead), so opted to replace the water inlet port with a cable hatch. The water inlet port was Valterra, so I initially purchased a Valterra cable hatch thinking it would be an exact fit (the measurements listed were the same). It was actually too small, so I purchased this RecPro RV cable hatch. Glad I did, as it's plenty large enough to replace the Valterra water inlet port and is slightly better quality than the Valterra cable hatch. I prefer the slide-up door for smaller cables in addition to the flip-up cap for larger cables. A 50amp Anderson connector fits no problem. I could see the flip-up cap breaking if not used gently, so I'll be careful with it every time I open and close it. I'm a tiny bit concerned about bugs getting in while in use, but I plan to try to address this from inside the van. Note that it does not come with hardware. I used butyl tape and black silicone to seal it, and I'm happy with how it looks. Hope it lasts a long time.
