Although I was impressed, I didn't realize how good the bass was on the speaker until I used it for my music. This speaker is better than my tall speakers with the separate woofer. I was able to play a hard rock song and crank it up, with no compromise on the sound quality or bass perception. It picks up the subtleness of a cello underscore and delivers the same quality on a screaming bass guitar. I initially paired it with my ipod (which was super easy), listened to some tracks, thought it was ok, and stuck in the corner.Last night, we fired up the projector and decided to watch the new Star Wars, and holy moly, this thing sounds fantastic. From that opening symphony hit, to the battle scenes, to normal dialogue, it sounds great.Also brought it out to the pool to listen to some music, and it was as loud as I could possibly want it (and could have gotten too loud for my neighbors had I wanted to).
