Necklace clasps tend to rotate the front due to the extra weight and lighter necklaces tend to get pulled up higher as the clasp pulls down your back (again due to weight) but it’s a fair trade off for the ease of use and security.

**Q: Is this clasp light enough to use on dainty gold necklaces? Some clasps are quite heavy and pull the necklace down on the back on the neck. Thank you.**
A: These clasps are definitely not light enough for dainty necklaces. These clasps won't slide to the front but if the pendant on the necklace is lighter than the clasp then you will end up basically wearing a choker. The clasp falls down your back and the necklace gets pulled up right to your neck instead of staying where it should.

**Q: Do these contain nickel?**
A: The website says alloy but I don't know if that means nickel.  You can go to the site page and under buy now you will see sold by "ToGdmaoo".  You can send an email to them by clicking on their name to ask. You will need the product name in your email.  Amazon will facilitate that process for you. It can take a couple of days to hear back from companies.

**Q: What are these made of, sterling, copper what?**
A: They are not Sterling,  but the magnet is very strong and works well

**Q: Will they rust if they get wet?**
A: Not so far. 12+ months

I use these almost exclusively on necklaces I make. The ease of putting on a necklace with a magnet clasp sure beats tiny lobster style closures which are difficult to maneuver. The magnets are strong enough to secure a necklace for all but very heavy beads.
