But not by an awful lot. Are they worth it?. This can only be subjective, but I don't think you will regret buying the T1 **Q: Does it require an amp if using them with a Mac Mini/etc any computer?** A: No amp required - the T1.3's have a very low impedance compared to their predecessors (32ohm v 600ohm) so most smartphones/laptops should have no trouble driving them. I would still recommend an external DAC (Depending on intended usage - if portable, something like an Audioquest Dragonfly (various), or if for home use a Chord (Various) or Cambridge Audio DacMagic) to get the very best out of them... they will be unforgiving with poor source material. Worth remembering the T1's are open-back so not really for listening in public (the T3's are closed-back) and the supplied lead is very long so not ideal for portable use. (Apologies if already known!).
