## Questions & Answers

**Q: What kind of fuel do you use with it? Amazon says butane but some videos I've seen use a propane/butane mix**
A: Both gasses will work, with some limitations. The issue you may have with different gas mixes are related to the boiling temperature of different gasses versus ambient temperature. The cans are filled with liquefied gas to feed the stove with the pressurized fumes, boiled off gas, of the liquefied gas. The issue is, N-Butane (regular butane) gasses off (Boils) at about 31 F, (that's why your butane lighter doesn't work in the cold, even though you see a lot of liquid in it, It's not turning into gas.) Iso-Butane gasses off at about -13 F and Propane gasses off at -43 F. An Iso-butane canister is quite adequate at most camping temps, although the flame will be weak when the weather gets cooler (gas pressure will be lower due to slower boiling/gassing off as the ambient temp drops ). Propane boils/gasses off at avery low temp, however, it will gas off so vigorously at ambient temp that it will create an unsafe pressure in a (relatively thin) Iso-butane can. the "Fix" that fuel canister manufacturers use is to mix a small amount, 15-20%, of Propane in with the Iso-butane, lowering the boiling temp of the mixed fuel without causing a dangerous over pressure in the canister. Pure Propane, boiling off at -43 F creates sway too much pressure to be stored in the light, thin canisters used in camping, that's why the Propane tanks (Big, usually blue or green cans) you see in hardware stores are built with such thick walls. and, to use them on an Iso-Butane stove requiers very specific regulators and adapters. **Q: What's the minimum width a pot would need to fit on the burner. My pot is tall and narrow. 2.5in width**
A: Whoa, that's an extremely narrow pot! The distance from the inner edge of one tine to the next is about 1.5in, making a equilateral triangle shaped hole with 1.5in sides. You pot should be fine to fit, though balance may be an issue.

**Q: What's the largest pot you can safely get on this stove?**
A: It's pretty flimsy, I wouldn't go over 1 liter. But honestly, I wouldn't buy this, sure it's cheap, but it's not very efficient, and it's incredibly loud, it doesn't have a real heast spreader, it's just got a thing with some slots pressed into it. 20 grams more and you get a really nice stove, that will almost certainly be more efficient and stable. I just bought this out of curiosity, but as soon as I used it, I knew I'd almost certainly never bring this on the trail with me. Get a kovea or something like that if you want a cheap and fairly light stove. I also wouldn't trust the valve to actually last over time in real use.

**Q: What is the warranty?**
A: The warranty is not great but if it does not work right out of the box send It back and they will send you a replacement. Just FYI. I have had mine for the past 3 months and have used it on a half dozen hiking trips and love it. I only paid $16 for it on Amazon but it's not bullet proof. If you want to spend more money and get a great warranty and a high quality stove pick up the MSR Pocket Rocket 2 but it's not cheap.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ SUPER small. SUPER lightweight. SUPER affordable. SUPER DEAL
*by T***G on 4 May 2026*

So I can't speak to the longevity of this micro stove... but for $16 this thing's value is CRAZY good. It is so small it's unreal, so light it that you barely notice it in your hand. The flame adjustment is surprisingly good. The trade-off is that a larger pot won't balance well and the flame is concentrated to a very small area so probably good for boiling/liquid cooking. Wouldn't try simmering a sauce LOL. This is going to be my new car emergency pack stove. Smaller, lighter & easier to use than the folding Esbit solid fuel stoves. This, plus a small isobutane canister, a titanium mug, titanium or lexan spork and a small section of duct foil as a windscreen and you have a phenomenal micro cookset. Boiled 2 cups of water in a 750ml titanium pot in about 3 minutes.
