I've tried a cooling bed mat, cooling gel pillows and I was still waking up hot. I read several reviews that these helped with both body temperature and face/hair protection so I figured I'd try these. I've since purchased a few sets of these pillow cases. They're comfortable and do help with my body temp. They tend to be a little wrinkled after they've been washed, but the wrinkles go away once I slide them onto the pillow. I also really like the zipper closure, since they're silkie & slippery this is a huge plus. The only thing I would caution a new buyer about is put on your evening facial oil and moisturizer at least an hour before you go to sleep. I made the mistake of going to bed right after and it got all over the pillow case. In the morning I awaken with hair not so out of place. Only complaint is they are slippery and with too much of me moving in bed, they slip off bed easily. But that is the nature of slippery silk.
