The fabric dries quickly, wicking moisture away from your skin. Washing only makes it softer and will not remove its efficacy after repeated washings up to 200 degrees Fahrenheit. Evolon fabric received the OekoTex 100 class 1 certificate, meaning there are no harmful substances, making it safe for even baby skin. It has no PVC or any other toxic chemical treatments. These components are safe for human health and the environment. The production of Evolon is environmentally friendly as shown by many health and environmental awards to its manufacturer. **Q: Do these wear out after so many washings?**
A: I believe it recommends washing every 6 months, so washing more frequently may cause faster wearing out. I've washed them a couple of times in the 4 months I've used them, and they held up nicely so far.

A: It says they are crafted in the Southeastern U.S.

A: Germany I believe. It's been a while since I purchased them.

A: Yes, put pillowcase on, easier to wash pillowcases.

They got very soft after the first wash. They seemed to help the cases stay on the pillows that usually fall off by morning, so thats a plus. Will be ordering more. I am allergic to cats so these are SUCH a life saver at my boyfriends house. I dont get my nightly stuffy nose anymore and most nights i can breathe through my nose with these bad boys! They would make a perfect give for my mother.

Bought to reduce allergens and potential dust mites. The zippered cases are very stiff and almost paper like texture out of the package. Instructions indicated to wash before using. Did that and the texture was much improved, more like a heavy weight fabric. The weave or thread count seems very high so I hope it works. I’ll be throwing out the old pillow protectors.
