The wool blend fabric is soft, the seams are tight, the cap is fully lined and there are no loose threads. You can sense some cost savings in the minimal forehead padding and the thinness of bill material (it feels like pasteboard when you flex it but it does hold its shape when adjusted). I wouldn't want to wear this cap in the rain or a snowstorm, but it is a very nice spring/fall cap.
