Review: Get one for your dog - they will love it. Good for people, too. - I liked the first one, so went ahead and ordered a second one. The plaid side feels like a flannel shirt - good texture in my opinion. Also, my dog seems to agree as he likes to burrow into it. The size is not huge. It does match the description. It is warm, but not a very thick blanket. I tend to run hot. For me, it is perfect as I keep warm (and my dog must agree since he is laying on it as I type this review).
