I'd read all of the reviews, especially the negative ones, and still chose to buy this one (Amazon has a great return policy, just in case). Unlike the negative reviews, mine was not rusted, it did not leak grease, did not have defective hardware and was packaged very well. My first usage was to turn a size 13 coin ring into a size 4 - my first time using such a tool I should add. It worked great! The rest of the day, my daughter and I took turns cranking out rings of various sizes with no issues. I learned that when using the stretcher, it's best not to try to go full swing with the lever but stop at vertical, pull it back, turn the ring 1/4 turn and repeat (otherwise mine tends to bind up when the lever is pushed past vertical).
