Homeowners and Professionals rely on moisture meters to identify hidden problems, which would save potential expensive repairs. AZUNO makes Moisture meter more reliable and easy-to-use for both homeowners and professionals. Self-Testing Before Work Make sure the device is accurately calibrated before use. But it could not be manually calibrated. Select Working Mode Select Wood Mode or Building Mode. A "Wood Type Quick-Search Index Table" is printed on back of the device, help adjust setup quick-and-easy. Wood Mode comes with 8 calibrated scales, measure different wood types. Note that composite wood should better select Building mode. Stick to the Wall or Wood Make a puncture into test surface of Wall or Wood and wait a second to get stable readings of estimated moisture level. Smart backlit LCD display will auto off in 3 minutes to preserve battery. Buttons Click HOLD to Freeze Readings, so you have enough time to record digits. Click C°/F° to switch to different temperature unit as you prefer. Click Rigth Arrow to switch between Wood Mode and Building Mode. Clcik MODE to switch among A-H, which are 8 scales for Wood Mode. Wood or Building Mode One button to switch between Wood mode and Building mode. Note that composite wood should better select Building mode. 8 Scales on Wood Mode Every mode is specially designed to measure different wood types. This AZUNO moisture meter is easy to use. Just press the probes into the end of the wood or walls you want to check and it tells you the moisture content. Walls looked okay, but the moisture meter told a different story. Walls were saturated. Used this to locate the walls and insulation that needed to be replaced. Meter also found that we had gotten water down our chimney. Meter worked easily out of the box and it came with easy to understand directions and charts for indicated moisture levels. Also works great on wood make sure you press the probes in straight. You can bend the probes, but they will straighten out. It is accurate. It works as advertised. I would not be without this product if you buy firewood to heat your house. I will now be able to test the firewood before I take delivery and I will never have to deal with green wood. Overall excellent product, great quality and value, very useful highly recommended.

If you deal with fire wood you need this. It is easy to use and accurate. I liked it so much. I bought one for my son-in-law because he burns wood also.

Super easy to use, sometimes it may take a hard push or hit to get it into the material. I was a bit confused on building vs wood ratings, because drywall with a stud behind it or just drywall I don’t know if I classified it as building material but it wasn’t wood. I might have missed it in the info packet because I didn’t read much of it, so it may specify. Not sure. I have no way to validate its accuracy so I cannot speak to that. I knew a wall was wet because a pipe burst and the wall felt moist/wet and the reading seemed consistent with being wet.. that’s all I can say. It works fine for my applications though.
