BIO SLEEP CONCEPTLuxury Cotton and Wool Mattress Futon (King)

I had been searching for weeks for an affordable bed that wouldn't break the bank and that was made out of as many natural materials as possible, and was not memory foam, due to my husbands ever worsening asthma and allergies. (Note: it is just about impossible to find a mattress nowadays without memory foam in a traditional mattress store.)All wool mattresses were ridiculously pricey, and I didn't want to spend thousands when I can't test them out.Same with all latex, as we don't live in a large city or near a large city that offers stores with natural bedding.Backstory: We had a very nice and expensive TempurPedic bed. Loved it so much. My husband especially loved it as it was the best night's sleep he had ever had. For me, the TempurPedic was a little firm once I lost weight and was under 130 pounds.We planned on that Tempurpedic lasting for at least 10-15 years. We had the recommended tempurpedic box springs, protector, everything.After 5 years, husband started having bad asthma episodes when laying in the bed. I did a deep clean of the room, made it a pet free area, and started to move the mattress and box springs to clean under it and rearrange furniture. Mold was growing under the mattress on the pad, the box springs, and when I opened up the cover, it was also growing in the mattress. Learned it was typical of these mattresses to grow mold and it wasn't covered under warranty. Also learned that the mattress should have been on a platform type bed, not the box springs, and their mattress protector had a rubber bottom to keep it from sliding, but that rubber also trapped in moisture! When disassembling the box springs, saw that they had CARDBOARD!!?? covering the top right under the cover... how is that supposed to breathe?!After tons of research, we decided we didn't want memory foam, as it has a list of bad stuff in it, and when it starts breaking down, it off gasses and causes illnesses as well.I don't know how I came across this wool/cotton/high resistance foam futon mattress, but I am SO glad I did.Not only is it affordable, but it is hand made. Pretty sure our mattress was made just for us, as the date on the tag for when it was made was 2 days after the order was placed.Because we have slept on memory foam for years, this mattress took a little getting used to for my husband mostly. I found it comfortable right away. It is firmer than memory foam, but I feel that it is much more supportive because it doesn't conform like the memory foam, so I don't wake up sore like I used to. For reference, my husband is about 165 pounds and usually has back pain from his job, and I am about 120 pounds. After a week, my husband said it is so comfortable, he falls asleep instantly and doesn't toss and turn through the night.We had a cold spell a few days ago and I was so toasty and warm! I was in shorts and a tank top and we only had our cotton sheets, 2 cotton blankets and a couple of mexican blankets on our bed, and even though the temps were in the 30s, in the bed, it didn't feel like it was that cold at all! (We don't have central heat and didn't have a space heater on, but were still very comfy in this bed.)On the flip side, we had a warm night last night and I took the mexican blankets off and we slept very comfortably again even though the house was in the 70s!I like that the construction of the mattress is such that we can turn and flip it regularly, so that it can wear evenly. I couldn't flip the memory foam mattress!I had questions about the bed, and I was able to go to the manufacturer's website and ask them, and they were very prompt and professional when answering me.I am very satisfied with this bed, and I would definitely purchase it again. When my kids' mattresses wear out, I will order the twin size of this for their beds.Will be ordering a mattress cover to protect it from perspiration and hopefully prolong the life of the mattress.Also, when I unboxed and unwrapped it, it sprung back to its full 8 inches almost immediately. (Yep, I got out the tape measure!) We slept on it hours after it was delivered. We received it shipped directly from the manufacturer, which is in Portland, so it only took 2 days to get to us since we are in Idaho.Smells very faintly of wool, but I find that to be a relaxing smell. The company said they do not treat the wool with carbon like other manufacturer's, so it has a natural wool smell.We ordered the queen size, and it fits perfectly on the platform bed I also ordered on Amazon. I would say it is true to size.Can't say for sure on sheets, as I am using my king sized sheets, because I cannot afford to buy all new bedding right now since I had just purchased all new sheets for our previous mattress.It is about 70 pounds, so much easier to maneuver than a memory foam mattress, in my opinion.I will give an update after we have owned this for 6 months and then again after a year.

let me save your pack from the pain you don’t want i been sleeping on this mattress for about 4 months now and it has completely screwed up my back to where it hurts to bend down and lift but i switched to sleeping on my couch for the past 2 days and i’ve seen a world of a difference to almost no back pain now so i assume my back is healing back up from the pain this mattress has caused me! DO NOT BUY

What an amazing piece of work! The wool inside is very high grade. The cover feels like it will last forever. Love the fact that its 100% natural materials! Chemical free mattress. The price is very competitive one of the reason I bought it. After having this mattress for one year. I can not say anything negative about it! It s comfy nice and firm. Helps keep my posture good. Also its good to know there is no chemicals in this thing we do spend a lot of time of our life sleeping wouldn't want to be berating that in while my body repairs its self. I will also note that the shape of the bed has stayed the same since i bought a year ago. If your looking for a bed with a good price and premium materials look no further. I re ordered one for my daughter !

This bed is absolutely wonderful, it is firm enough and yet soft. Wake up rested and no back issues.December 17, 2020Most reviews don't return to provide updates but this mattress is worth taking the time. I am not a paid reviewer and have no obligations but feel that companies who excel deserve this.The mattress is the same now as when we first unboxed it. it is comfortable, no wear spots is easy to care for and provides a great night's sleep. Flipping it and vacuuming it helps too. The materials used have held up great, no threads raveling or seams pulling out. If there was one simple improvement it would be some handles on the sides of the queen to make flipping it easier. lol

My husband ordered this because it was wool filled. the package arrived but the mattress is lumpy, uncomfortable, and smells odd.They are "considering" my return, but say the terms of the package are "self-ship." What the heck?!?! Before we bought the mattress it said that any mattress over a full (ours is a Queen) would need to be donated (with proof) rather than shipped.Do I need to post on Instagram what a gyp this is?Please send instructions of how to get a timely refund donation or paid/low-cost return

Its great so far. I've only had it a week. So I can estimate better in a half a year. I ordered a queen and i feel a bit lost in it. Super spacious. I'm 5'4".

The cotton inside is full of plant debris such as sticks, seed hulls, and various brown/black chunks. Not a little bit, but all throughout the mattress.
