Great concept, disappointing execution
Was very excited to upwrap this futon and try it out, but was very quickly disappointed.PROS:- all natural materials in the filling and caseCONS:- underfilled so it quickly collapses after a few nights and you are basically sleeping on the hard floorNot at all what was expected out of an 8" futon. There is not enough filling to keep you aloft. I've tried readjusting the filling but it always works it's way out to the sides of the futon so the center is collapsed underneath you.Very disappointing for how expensive this futon is. I do not recommend purchasing this.

Soft not Firm
The mattress was described as medium firm but I could tell when I pulled it out that it was tufted like a fluffy cloud. Very soft. Fortunately I only have to sleep on it part time. It does appear to be very natural, no chemical smell or anything like that which is what we wanted. I wish it had handles sewn on to make it easier to move.

Affordable natural mattress option
I did a lot of research to find an affordable option for natural bedding for my kids. This mattress meets US fire standards because wool is a natural flame retardant. This means that my kids no longer sleep on beds made of fiberglass, pesticides, or other toxins. As other reviewers have said, the mattresses come cloudy and then become firmer as the wool packs down. My kids are small so this hasn’t been an issue (after a few months of use). I prefer a firmer mattress so I enjoy laying on their beds too.I plan to purchase the same mattresses again in a couple years as my kids grow, but instead of purchasing new and disposing the old mattresses I’ll just stack the new mattresses on top of the old ones to add 8 inches of support. Like the princess and the pea.

Underfilled, no support, sank down to bottom.
Just slept on this for the first time, it is soft and would be comfortable if it didn't compress all the way down to where you feel the slats under you. I think it was underfilled. Sadly I am disappointed. I am going to put something underneath it so I can't feel the slats. I should have read the reviews before purchasing!Edit: the mattress is substantially underfilled. The poster above that described the center sinking down to where you feel the slats was completely accurate. The manufacturer is skimping on the filling. Was going to return this, but I found someone who wanted it for their child. This mattress will only work for occasional use or a lightweight child.

soft, bouncy
I hope it packs down soon. It's too thick and too bouncy. It doesn't feel like any futon I've ever had. It doesn't feel like cotton and wool, but I guess it is. I'm afraid it will end up packed way down in the middle with really high sides. One thing, don't think that returning is an option. The way it's packed, you'll never get it packaged again once it's out.
