Review: Great quality cast iron pot at a good price - I bought this with some trepidation as a warning came up to say it was frequently returned. However i’m glad I did buy following a read through of some of the reviews. As with all cast iron products it needs to be looked after and cared for properly to get the best out of them. From my use of it there are a couple of points I would raise, 1. Follow the instructions supplied, even though it says it is Pre-seasoned it still needs to be seasoned - it explains how to do this in the instructions. 2. Ignore the measurement/weight picture in the desertcart product photo gallery. I’ve added photos below with the weight and measurements of the product I received (and the screen shot from the product page), but in a nut shell, It’s is 11.5cm high without the lid, 16cm with the lid, approx. 31cm width from tip of handle to tip of handle and weighs 5.023Kg. It’s not too heavy as cast iron goes, but it obviously get’s heavier when it’s full. I cook with it on the BBQ, so it does get very hot and fireproof gloves are essential. Again the instructions that come with it explain how to care for and clean the product and following these I’ve had absolutely no issues, just great BBQ’d food.
