**Q: can you smoke this?**
A: It’s not lavender. This company sells fake lavender made in China. I tried taking a bath with this stuff and none of the flowers changed shape or blossomed and oddly the flowers looked all the same. And it didn’t break apart easily in my hand after it was soaked in hot water like real flower buds do. Don’t buy from this company.

**Q: Can it be used for cooking?**
A: I've used this product for a few years to make lavender simple syrup. I'm still alive! BUT... I'm not sure I'd do it again. This product listing used to say this is culinary grade lavender, but I can only see that claim now on the 5oz packaging photo. I never noticed anything off about it when using it for syrup aside from its intense purple coloring. Use at your own risk, I'd say.

Used these for little lavender sachets and they turned out beautiful. The fragrance is strong in the best way, fresh, not fake or perfume-y. The buds are clean and not full of stems or dust like some other brands. I also tried a small amount for tea and it tasted really nice. You get a good amount in the bag and it stays fragrant after opening. Would definitely buy again.
