Review: Landworks Leaf Mulcher Shredder Electric - Great Leaf Mulcher for Home Use — Huge Space Saver I’ve been using the Landworks Leaf Mulcher Shredder Electric (Green) / Waste Management Heavy Duty Mulcher for about four years now, and it has consistently delivered exactly what I need it to do. For its intended purpose—mulching leaves, grass, and clippings—it performs extremely well. The machine really shines when the material is dry. It chews through leaves quickly and produces a fine mulch that’s easy to bag or compost. When the material is wet, it still works, but you’ll need to feed it more slowly to avoid clogging. That’s just the nature of wet yard waste, and the mulcher handles it as well as can be expected. One of the biggest benefits is how much it reduces volume. What used to fill eight 42‑gallon trash bags now fits into just two. That alone makes it worth the investment—less hauling, fewer bags, and a much cleaner yard. Maintenance has been minimal. In four years of regular seasonal use, I’ve only had to replace the blades once, and replacement blades are easy to find on desertcart. Overall, this mulcher is a reliable, efficient tool for anyone dealing with a lot of yard debris. It’s not a heavy‑duty wood chipper, but for leaves and clippings, it’s excellent.
Review: Recommended - Having tried a couple of similar units I found that this one was the best of the bunch I went through and does a superb job of mulching leaves and small twigs but any thick enough pieces of wood are likely to get stuck on the sides and jam the blades. Removing them is simple and the unit continues to run normally afterwards. The wheels on the unit are terrible and should be replaced with something more sturdy. The ones I got barely seem like they could take the weight of the unit and were not usable (I carried the thing instead). It's also difficult to pour leaves in as you'll need to push in even the smallest amount. You can do this relatively safely by hand as the blades are way down in there but be safe and use some sort of tool. It's also really loud. Overall, I would recommend this unit for the price. While not perfect, it does the job well and any complaints I have are minor at best and wouldn't stop me from buying another.

**Q: What are the blades made out of? Plastic or metal?**
A: Metal, but, if you can get an extra set, do so. We couldn't get in touch with the company  to order more. Also the motorhousing is plastic. Be ware, if a rock gets in with the leaves, the blades break and the plastic attachments break. Our motor quit after a few hours use along with broken blades when a renegade rock got in. And it will happen. Called the company, no callback.

**Q: Can the cutting blades be adjusted for course or finer mulching?**
A: No, there are 3 separate but fixed blades inside the machine.

**Q: I have a very mature sycamore tree with leaves that are extra large and rather leathery - they do not much well.  Think this machine can handle them?**
A: We have oak trees. The machine handled those leaves very well. Make sure the leaves are dry.

**Q: Can this handle carboard?**
A: No - it is not that great for leaves, and cannot handle anything other than leaves in my opinion.  I was disappointed.

I've spent countless hours searching for the perfect leaf shredder, and my quest is finally over! After trying out a popular string shredder (I'll spare you the brand name, but it starts with a W), I was left unsatisfied with its performance on twigs and gum balls. I decided to give this model a try. Assembly was a breeze, and I was immediately impressed by the high-quality materials used in its construction. This machine exudes durability and sturdiness, instilling my confidence in its long-term performance. I was initially skeptical about the blade size and their overall quality, but I was pleasantly surprised. The blades are thick, sharp, and built to handle heavy-duty tasks effortlessly. To give you an idea of their size, I included a picture with my hand alongside them, as well as a shot with my finger showing their thickness. Eager to put it to the test, I wasted no time taking it out to the yard after assembly. I had a massive pile of leaves, teeming with pesky quarter-inch sticks and an abundance of gum balls. However, this leaf shredder didn't skip a beat. Not once did it jam, effortlessly reducing everything in its path to finely shredded pieces. The negative reviews claiming it struggles with wet leaves are probably true, as that complaint seems to be common.. The debris I cleared today was bone-dry, which is typical for my Californian climate. So, if you reside in a region with high humidity or excessive moisture, this machine might not be the ideal choice for you. I can confidently say that this leaf shredder has surpassed my expectations and exceeded all other options I've tried.
