Q: Does the tape alone keep this product on the car's roof? Have you had any problems after installation?

I have had no problems at all. Make sure the surface is really clean. I used and alcohol wipe and make sure you measure it your self just to be sure. .and if you live in a cold climate , be careful with it , because it cracks easy . But once its on , it stays on.

Q: have a 2009 rav4 limited will this fit?

I bought this (34.6 inches) for my 2011 RAV4 Sport and even though the description said it would fit, it was too short. I returned it and the company quickly sent me the 38" length and it fit perfectly!

I went with the shorter of the 2,(I have a 2008 civic). The shorter one fit, but with very littleroom to spare. I would order the larger size if I wdere you. Also, the adhesive tape that comes on it is a joke. Go to an auto parts store and get 3m auto trim silicone. Its clear, and worked as some for me. Hope this helped
