They are exactly as described. They turn themselves off and on each day automatically. They stay on approximately 5 hours.One of the things I especially liked is that inside the candle near the top is wax with a replica of a burned wick. Most flame-less candles when looking inside from the top you see the bulb either at the top or near the bottom. With these, the bulb doesn't even show. It is further down under the wax. It gives them a look of being a real candle.Something I was a little disappointed about though - it was stated that the candles measured 3.5-inches in diameter. Actually, they do measure that on the top and bottom, but the body measures closer to 4-inches. That is caused by the protruding dark brown knots on the outside. I had planned on putting them inside tall holders measuring a little more than 3.5 inches, so these wouldn't fit. But I like them so much I am keeping them for display in a different area.I will do an update after I have had them for a few months and let you know how they are performing. As of today, I love them.UPDATE: I have had the candles for 3 months. I love them. I starting using them around Jan 23, 2016. Today (3 MONTHS later) I just replaced the batteries for the first time. They actually hadn't stopped lighting yet, but they had gotten dimmer. They are great! ### ⭐⭐⭐ Kind of cheesy looking during the day, but look good at night with the lights off *by N***B on Reviewed in the United States on October 22, 2017* I am disappointed with the look of these candles. First off I don't have the tan candles (maybe they are nicer.) The reason being was that the seller contacted me and said they were out of the tan ones and could they send me the white ones. So I said OK. They work great, but they are so fake and cheesy looking, so starkly white! And the wax that they roll around the candles has a thick seam that overlaps itself. I must say at night with the lights off and just the candles on, they do look nice, but during the day, ick! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Energizer batteries were included, last a very long time *by D***N on Reviewed in the United States on February 15, 2016* I bought two sets, both had Energizer batteries included. I have bought many sets of LED candles, all with good success. Timer works fairly accurate, quality of product very good. These are a bit fake looking. I have mine in the fireplace, two sets, set at different heights with risers, for a fireplace presentation during no-burn days in my area. With the screen and fireplace doors, the slight tackiness of these is OK and at night they really look good.
