It is very frustrating - it continually gets an air pocket and stops blending the food, so I have to stop it, open the top and stir it. I start it and the same thing happens over and over and over. The motor works but the fruit gets stuck around it and stays there until I stir the food. I have tried putting in a small amount each time until it is blended but that only works occasionally. I have tried using more liquid. Same problem. And I can't make a small smoothie because the blade sits up so high, it won't blend without more ingredients. That isn't as big a problem as the fact that it won't blend even larger amounts without taking an inordinate amount of time and constantly having to open the top and stir it. The VitaMix brand is designed so the food continually goes to the bottom and is blended but this product doesn't do that. The food gets stuck around the blades and that's it until I open the lid and stir it. It takes wayyyyy too long and is incredibly frustrating. I would have returned it but the box was inadvertently thrown out, so now we don't have the original packaging. I was expecting a much better blender for the price I paid for this one and for being a commercial model. How could a business use this with the time it takes?
