Review: Works Good for GMRS - For the price you can't go wrong. I bought this to use in my truck for a GMRS HT radio. SWR was over 2:0 but after trimming 1/8 inch twice, the Antenna's SWR is 1:1 to 1:2. There's no adjustment other than trimming the top of the whip.

For the price you can't go wrong. I bought this to use in my truck for a GMRS HT radio. SWR was over 2:0 but after trimming 1/8 inch twice, the Antenna's SWR is 1:1 to 1:2. There's no adjustment other than trimming the top of the whip.

Nice antenna which works great. We listen to police/fire/airline dispatch and railroads. Brings in transmissions at great distances. One drawback- it has a PL-259 male plug which requires an adapter to connect to connect to a standard co-axial cable.
