You need bath water temp to change it one way, then ICE water to go back to the prior color. We got two and my 2 yo LOVES them. Only thing, he inevitably started slamming the cars into each other which chipped the paint. So, when they’re in the “cold” color, they have a few flaws. So, this paint does chip easier than a normal hot wheels car (without color changing paint).
