## Description

desertcart.com : BETAZOOER Acrylic Reptile Terrarium Breeding Tank Enclosure 11.4"x7.7"x5.9" : Pet Supplies

Review: Excellent value perfect for terrestrial tarantulas - Pros: Excellent value. Kind of fun to put together- clever tabs/rubber band construction. Feeding hole on lid is nice- we put our water dishes under it and don’t have to lift the lid to fill them now. Hygrometer is a nice touch (pro tip you can buy these cheap little hygrometers by the dozen if you need to replace- usually about 80% of them are accurate). Has sliding tabs on lid to keep it closed- very helpful for gentle escape artists like T’s. Crystal clear and nice design. This is perfect for invertebrates like our tarantulas. Cons: the acrylic is fairly thin/bendy so if you’re housing anything that needs protection from pets outside their tank (like cats) this probably won’t work. Ditto for anything that will try hard to escape. Probably not water tight, though it’s fine for spraying/squirting extra water into the substrate and doesn’t seem to leak humidity out the seams. No lock option without burning/drilling further holes- just sliding tabs to keep it shut.
Review: Easy Assembly Breeding Tank — Good for Small Reptiles, But Not Fully Escape-Proof - Compact acrylic enclosure (15.3 x 9.7 x 7.6 inches) suitable for smaller reptiles, invertebrates, or temporary setups, but not ideal for escape-prone or highly active animals. Easy to assemble using tab construction. Once built, it feels reasonably sturdy for light-duty use, though it is not a heavy-duty or fully sealed enclosure. The protective plastic film is difficult to remove at first, which slows down setup, a removal tab would have been most welcome. I have experience keeping reptiles and inverts, and I would consider this appropriate for smaller, low-risk species or short-term housing. However, it is not fully sealed, and fine substrate such as sand can leak through the seams. Sealing would be required if using loose or fine bedding. The locking top is a useful feature, but it feels somewhat underbuilt and not something I would fully trust for escape-prone animals. As expected with acrylic, there is noticeable static buildup. The included temperature and humidity gauge is very basic and may not be reliable enough for species requiring precise environmental control. One improvement would be an optional blank plug for the side sensor port when not in use. Overall, this is a functional compact enclosure for simple setups, but it should be used with awareness of its limitations.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Would this work for isopods and springtails or would they be able to get out of the ventilation holes?**
A: I can confirm that not only can they get out the ventilation holes but newborn isopods can sneak out through the seams of the box where the sides come together.

**Q: If I put a heat lamp on this or heat pad under this material will it melt it?**
A: We don't recommend you to do this.

**Q: Is it water tight across the bottom?**
A: Not unless you use silicone and seal it yourself. It ships in pieces that need to be assembled.

**Q: How do you put that thermostat in and does it come with it if I get the 15.3” one?**
A: The thermostat comes with and there is a hole for it to fit into.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great little Tomato Frog Home!
*by A***R on August 8, 2021*

I wanted something light weight to stack on top of my dumpy frog tank to move this little tomato friend into since surface space is precious in our small home. I took the chance on this acrylic tank in the largest size and so far I'm pleased with it! It did take a little while of peeling since the acrylic boards come un-peeled and the paper-y film does not want to come off in single satisfying sheets but rather tears around all the holes and connector puzzle piece edges. I do make acrylic charms as part of my art business however so peeling acrylic is something I'm quite used to but if you aren't this could get easily frustrating. The instructions are barebones which isn't an issue since it is literally a box except for when it comes to the top 'lock' tabs that are screwed in to the lid, they just show basically a picture of: tab piece + screw + vague area that might be the lid or the side which sounds like it would be enough but given the tab was facing a completely different direction in the illustration than how it actually goes on it did give me a few moments of problem solving. That said it wasn't a huge deal. I placed a clear plastic sheet in the bottom of the tank with a few inches extra folded up against each wall to form a "bowl" since I wasn't entirely sure how well this thing would hold water around the seams if Mr.Motato decided to go for a big splashy swim time or for whatever reason a water spill got down that far. You could also just use a bit of aquarium silicone sealant if you wanted something more permanent/effective but this solution means I can break it down flat again if I want to. The temp/humidity gauge seems very slow. It said 77degrees for nearly the entire day after getting it out of the box despite it being in a 71degree area. It was already on for some reason in the package and it was around 77 outside where the box was left so likely it was stuck thinking it was that temp due to a slow read. This morning it is saying 74degrees which is more likely given we have the house at around 71degrees and he does have a tiny hermit crab heater on the opposite side that should be shifting the heat up a little bit. Not sure exactly how accurate it is though. The humidity % changes much more readily. Overall not too worried about this since these things are fairly cheap to replace. I like the nearly seamless look of the acrylic tank, it gives a very clean/clear look to the whole set-up which I think looks a lot nicer than the alternative glass with front doors and a big black strip at the top, bottom and middle (exo-terra and zilla styles) I normally go with. It's not as heavy duty for sure but for a raised bachelor pad this was the right tank. Keep in mind that if you need to heat these you are going to want a HERMIT CRAB under tank heater, those are the only UTHs that are rated for use on any plastic/acrylic tanks. Other heaters may damage the acrylic and even release nasty fumes if they get too hot. So far the hermit crab heater i got for 13 bucks at petco has been working great under the raised tank. Overall this was a great buy, it's one of the largest acrylic tanks you can get on amazon, comes with the essential heat/humidity gauge, looks sleek, and the price is good for what you get. Most importantly my grumpy little boy seems happy!
