**Q: Can this be used to cast resin molds for lathe turning projects?**
A: Yes, if you're asking if it will remove air bubbles from resin. Some resins are very thick and the vacuum will indeed remove the air pressure holding back those bubbles. It won't lift the resin, so some light vibration helps encourage those bubbles to the surface.

A: You Need 2 teflon Washers, 2 Metal washers and one Brass Nut that fit the pressure guage and the hole in the thick plexiglass top,  you can find these at an ACE hardware.

A: The hose is 90cm long, and the inner diameter of the hose is about 12mm.

**Q: Can this run on 220v?**
A: No, the pump is 110V.

I use it to degass casting epoxy, does a great job on small batches it looks and sounds bigger than it is , in the pictures. Make sure you buy vacuum pump oil, mine came empty, and it won’t work with out it.

After reading reviews, I was a little concerned about this product, however, I had no problem putting together, the poly lid didn't brake, gauge works, compresser not noisy, worked as expected. Packaging of motor oil could be better, it leaked during shipping . I would recommend.

Worked for a day with no issues. After being used the next day the pump lost more than half of the oil from a leak in the bottom of the unit. Not a visible leak, probably a small leak from a seal. The chamber works fine, the pump is not good at all. Even the oil cap on the pump is not very sturdy
