Not being familiar with model making, I was concerned that the age rating would just make this boat fairly simplistic and we'd put it together in an afternoon. Oh how I was wrong! I originally bought this in October 2021 for my dads birthday for us to spend some time together. First thoughts was "Wow" when I picked the box up to wrap up - this box is substantial! Whilst we haven't completed this model as yet, we very quickly realised the absolute genius of the design of these parts / high quality of the wood used. To put this into perspective, each of the parts will all come apart fairly easily if you've made a mistake, but will go back together as well as the first time. Needless to say this has happened more times than I care to remember, and none of the parts have failed us yet. Ugears have done a superb job with manufacturing all the parts, and we will definitely be purchasing another kit (once we get to the end of this one!). Would recommend this to anyone!

The only reason I have given this model 4 stars is simply because it is a gift and has not been given or opened yet. This looks amazing and I hope the recipient will think so too. After Christmas and model has been started on I will update my review.
