Review: Great supplement - These ZMA capsules are a great supplement. I can speak for the fitness aspect of them but they have definitely improved my sleep quality. At first I thought that perhaps it was just in my head but after taking them for several weeks now I feel that I am more well rested in the morning when I wake up. It is also easier for me to wake up and I’ve found that I usually wake up on the first alarm rather than hitting snooze several times. I also feel that an unintended side effect of these has been an improvement in my mood. I definitely feel calmer and more patient especially when with my children. I’m not sure if I can attribute that to these capsules directly or if that is due to me feeling more rested. All in all I would recommend these. I purchased to bottles of the 180 caps and will definitely purchase more when I run out.

A: This is Now Foods proprietary blend of those ingredients. Looks like the ingredients are the same just in proprietary blend.  Hope this helps.

For best results, avoid taking with dairy or other calcium-containing foods or supplements.

**Q: What is the source of the gelatin please ?**
A: It’s beef gelatin (bovine) from North America. You can probably find a vegan friendly ZMA from the same company if that is what you are interested in. I know that NOW offers vegan products as well. Hope this helps.

ZMA is a pretty standardized product. So long as you buy from a reputable company you don't have a whole lot of guesswork involved with the purchasing. For those of you who aren't familiar with ZMA, it's a mineral supplement which provides zinc, magnesium, and vitamin B-6 in a very specific ratio to optimize absorption. Intensely training athletes tend to be deficient in one or more of these nutrients, which in turn inhibits proper anabolic hormone production. If you work out hard and your diet perhaps isn't the best, it's a good chance you will benefit from ZMA. You will fall asleep quicker, sleep deeper, and wake up feeling a little more refreshed than you would without it. All other things being equal, this will help you recover faster and grow stronger from your workouts. The effect is not dramatic, but it's generally worth the price of the supplement for most people. I've been using this brand of ZMA for a couple weeks now and it's worked just as well as other brands in the past. I sleep well and wake up feeling great.
