Review: Excellent - The poles are good quality feel robust. I think they will last a long time. I use these rather than a walking stick. They allow me to stand up straight and not lean over as in using stick. So keep my back straighter. I can also walk faster which helps with my overall fitness. As an older user, I would say give them a try. They are fully adjustable and the hand straps make them very secure. I don't feel as if I would trip up or fall. Safety in walking with these is good. I saw my orthopaedic consultant and mentioned that I was using the poles to help with my spine and knee problems, he said that they we a really good idea and a number of his patients had benefitted from the use of poles. (No particular make of course) From my perspective I can walk further and faster and breath easier, which surely must be of health benefit. I am no expert! I would say to anyone with similar health issues to give them a try. I don't think you will be disappointed.

**Q: How heavy exactly are the trekking poles? 4 ounces each? Just wanna make sure of the exact weight.**
A: Hi there, it's 9.7 ounces per pole without accessories. If you attach the baskets and rubber tips, it'll be 10.2 ounces per pole. Hope that helps!

**Q: How long are the poles at their shortest? Will they fit in my suitcase?**
A: It's 24.5 inches short when collapsed. However if that still won't fit your suitcase, you can disassemble it and the length will go down to 21 inches. It'll be very easy to put it back together if you disassemble it.

**Q: Do the new Trailbuddy screw-on rubber tips screw on to these poles? The pictures don't show a lower set of threads on the tips.**
A: Makers of Trailbuddy told me yesterday that they had worked on a new set of threads that attach the rubber tips so that they cannot come off. They promised to send me a new lower pole with new tips. I do not know when this will come/ and be offered online. It sounds as if it will be soon...in the next few weeks.

**Q: Can I hike with them through rivers? Can these get wet?**
A: Yes, in fact it would be good to have these if you're going through rivers - they'll save you from accidental slips especially if the rocks are a bit slippery, and you can also use them to gauge and test the ground (or riverbed) that you're about to step on. We'd recommend giving the poles a thorough drying afterwards though by taking them apart and patting dry or air drying. As with all things metal, rust is an enemy and drying the poles will help prevent that.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Tighten the screws

I took my new poles to Switzerland. It took a couple of tries to make sure the screws were tight enough to prevent the poles from slipping down. Comfortable cork handles and good wrist bands. All in all I am happy with my poles and the cost is good. I would have liked them to be more compact.
