The smell is absolutely awful, so I would recommend cleaning it weekly or being able to clean it somewhere with a strong hose. So far the toilet has work for our small 3.8lb puppy but I know if he was any bigger it wouldn’t have worked out. The grass pad is just heavy enough where he doesn’t try to drag it out of the pan but he tried to in the beginning. If you have a big puppy who likes to drag their pee pad, or anything new in the house, it’s probably not a good idea. I really like the idea as we are potty training and live on an upper floor. Overall, it works out well!
