Instead, I saw red ripe tomatoes, through the glass, even before I got inside. All the plants were alive! Two buckets recently empty and the third with about two inches of water left in. Lots of ripened tomatoes. 5 cucumbers ready to pick , with lots more on he way. Couldn't have been happier. Weather was very warm, but a good water before we went and the addition of the wick cords; which you can cut to any length needed; to our pots/troughs from a trug, placed above the pots/plants level and secured with a stone/small piece of garden wire (used as a bracket in the pots) was all that was required. Worked a treat and would recommend it to anyone that has a lot of pots and wants inexpensive self watering device for the odd occasion.
