Review: One Of The Best Mics I Own - I own 28 mics. This is one of the best. I mostly have condenser mics and a few dynamic mics. This is my only tube mic and the only mic I have with it's own power supply. The difference is both noticeable and significant. The mic has a boost in the high end and adds gentle harmonics. I've used it mostly for live shows through outboard gear (preamp, EQ, and compressor), and it sounds amazing. I place the XML in my top 3.
