It lathers up beautifully, there are scrubby scrubby particals embedded in the soap which i suppose can be used directly on the skin but we found them to be too abrasive, perhaps leaving micro tears... it's a nice feeling at the time but leaves the skin dry...the results of using the bar direct on skin were too harsh. Makes lots of lather, massaged it into affected area, left for a minute and the rinsed off, potency of the ingredients could be felt immediately. But with experimentation found that daily was too much, but once every three days worked... bacne was helped, maybe cos soap dries and strips a layer off? Horrendous on face... ages by ten years... avoid. If you want that sort of skin stripping peeling put your face in an open flame for a bit. The sulphor smell was an experience... for days I kept complaining that the lodger had something putrid in their room, then I realised the stench was me, or rather the after effects of the soap and the lingering sulphor. You get used to it.
