The sharky III spinning reel has a fiber reinforced graphite body and rotor while the sharky III gold is made with our zero-flex, all-aluminum body, rotor and frame making it ideal for big fish in both fresh and saltwater. Both reels use an oversized, stainless-steel main shaft for durability and strength and all brass pinion gears for dependability and smoothness. This spinning reel features 10+1 double shielded, stainless ball bearings for the ultimate in smooth operation. Review: Very good product and design without breaking the bank - I’ve landed a fair amount of fish with that reel. It was a good upgrade from my sienna. The drag is the main attractive feature. If you match it with the right rod and braid your are sorted without breaking the bank. It is Braid ready as well.

I love to go fishing. As much as i love it I have to keep things on a tight budget. My references are mid to lower end Shimano and Abu Garcia. I value reliability and smoothness. The KastKing Sharky 3 fits the bill quite nicely. It is as smooth as any reel I've ever tried. No wobble or gear grinding . The ten ball bearings no doubt help with that. It looks expensive (really the fish won't care) and has the feel of a premium product.It has many nice touches, carbon fibre washers for the drag, braid ready aluminum spool, larger than average bail. To say I was impressed would be an understatement. I bought this as a Christmas present for my nephew and after trying it out I found my self wishing I had kept it. When one of my other reels needs replacing I know what I'm shopping for. Well done KastKing.
