Research the species you want to keep as sphag is not optimal for all orchids. If you are keeping phalaenopsis I would mix this with sungrows phalaenopsis bark and put it in a pit with a lot of ventilation. Never let the water stagnate and warer it when the media dries and the roots turn grey in color. **Q: is this suitable for succulents** A: Probably not. It would be better to use a more sandy or small gravel for succulents as they are indigenous to the dessert. **Q: How big is the bag?
