And what is the guaranteed life span?** A: Ditec Marine Products on July 22, 2021 says Triton is NOT a sealer but the front of the container says it is "World's Best Teak Sealer". What? **Q: Is Triton recommended for teak table tops and other outdoor furniture?** A: Yes. That's why we bought it. If your teak is dirty recommend using 2 step teak cleaner first then seal it. **Q: Will the teak cleaners remove a water based teak protege ray?** A: Yes, using our Teak Clean and a blue doodle pad, scrubbing with the grain should remove that. If it does not on the first attempt, use a more course doodle pad and a second application of Teak Clean. **Q: Should the water bead up once applied to cleaned, brightened and dried teak? I put two coats an hour apart and it cured. Rain isn’t beading though.** A: Typically, with a light rain or light water application, a Triton protected surface will bead up. With large amounts of water or heavy rain, Triton probably will not bead up as well. But that does not mean the Triton protectant is not working. The objective of Triton is to prevent any type of liquid penetration into the wood surface. Beading is typically the initial reaction, but after short amount of time, Triton will not bead up anymore, but will still protect. Anywhere from three months to six months depending on conditions and maintenance schedule. The best results that we have seen is from the charter sport fisherman arena. Many captains use our product, with daily cleanings and abuse from fishing. I will reapply in 6 months, if needed. ### ⭐ Didn't protect *by M***N on April 4, 2026* I spent weeks sanding down all my teak patio furniture last summer and then sealed all of it with this product (multiple coats). It only minorly changed the color which was great however a month or so later some rain got on my teak dining table and there were irregular water marks all over the table - it didn't protect at all! Not being able to get any of this furniture wet without staining is the real problem. Wasted a lot of time and money and have to do it all over again.
