Review: Have you checked if your local H-Mart has it? - Others keep mentioning how expensive this item is, but if like me, it's not found on your local Asian store then it's not overly priced. For right now it's a rare item, shipped directly from Korea, and from my first experience much better in taste than others in the market. If you think that adding chicken and bouillon will get you this taste, then you must have been using some fantastic brand i have yet to try. I'm used to using bouillon on my ramen, because i the usual ramen i use either have too much heat, and not enough flavor; or they amount is too little to really give much flavor with one packet. I have used both Maggi and Knorr. Also, there is always some grainy bits at the bottom of the pot or bowl, from the flavor packet. Something you do not have to worry with this brand. On top of all that, i don't feel there is as much MSG if at all in the flavor packets. Normally i know just how much there is based on the fat/grease left after i eat the ramen, because i have been fooled by not noticing any on the liquid before it cools. There was little to no grease at at all with this brand, which is a major plus for me. The best part? The "heat" level. It doesn't contain pepper flakes, which i hate, or the excessiveness Nong Shim tends to use. I always have to end up using only about half the amount from Nong Shim, and i love spicy food. This brand is spicy, but without heat, which makes the chicken flavor stand out. There is a second packet that brings dried veggies, including green/red peppers and chicken. It's a small amount, so you don't feel like the whole soup if filled with it. It makes it easier to avoid, if you don't want them, but still want the flavor they provide. Or if like me, you want sporadic pieces with every ramen slurp, or broth drink. Honestly, i wasn't expecting much because it's ramen noodles, and the idea comes from a comedian. Whom as much as i like, is a man who doesn't normally cook. But this was better than many i have tried. Should also mention i'm not a big fan of the chicken flavor ramen. I usually prefer seafood or kimchi, but it's not heavily flavored, just savory?
Review: Spice is Life! - Ok so my daughter loved loved loved these! she's a big fan of south Korean dishes and particularly loves ramen. She was so excited when it came in earlier than expected and couldn't wait to try them. let's just say her initial reaction was priceless. On that note, ill review it based on flavor, level of spiciness, and packaging. 1) When describing the flavor my daughter continuously repeated the word spicy but on a serious note stated that behind the spicy veil the soup's was very flavorful. The noodles are nothing like the ones here in America, and were bigger and less "fried". The taste is very similar to Nongshim and when topped with some kind of meat or egg expect a more advanced kick. usually when preparing ramen she adds veggies and seasonings but for these she simply did as the packaging said. I suggest following the instructions for optimal flavoring. 2) Now my daughter thought that she was a veteran of spice. She eats spicy things all the time, that I personally can not eat without a severe coughing fit and ten glasses of milk, without batting an eyelash. Regarding this ramen though, she was tearing up as she ate it. IT was the type of spice that made her whole mouth feel like it was an inferno and she had to especially avoid letting it touch her lips, because she said it'd burn for at least five minutes and leave her rubbing an ice cube on them just to alleviate the feeling so she could continue toeat. She also commented that she made a big mistake the first time she ate these by adding cayenne pepper to the soup (which she always adds to Samyang Ramen in order to make it spicy enough for her) and nearly gave up finishing the noodles because she couldn't handle it. so on a 1-10 this ramen is definitely a 13. 3) The packaging was easy to understand since they had pictures and English instructions to aid in the preparation of the ramen. these instructions are on both the whole package and each individual pack.

I thought these were really good. They taste to me was sweet instead of spicy but I like that. They were quick to make. Perfect texture for noodles.
