### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Really helped me

This book is so clearly written and explains the inside of a blackmailer and the inside of the person who is blackmailed. Just through understanding the pattern, one can actually step out of it. Additionally there are many helpful communication tools, how to change this pattern and get control of it. It is also necessary to read the other books by Susan Forward to get a broader picture of it all. When the pattern of emotional blackmail is established it reaches back into one's own childhood and back into the parents' childhood and so on, so weeding it out is a really good thing and it is possible with this book.It brings better relationships, more understanding and more freedom.Can only recommend it, so easy to read and simple steps to get out of it.

This is an excellent book and I have now read it 3 times. The explanations about the types of emotional bullying and how to take action to stop it are well explained. If you are unsure about situations in a relationship and want to find out more then this is the book for you. Very easy to read with steps that you can take straight away. The book arrived quickly and in good condition although it is very well thumbed through now!

It covers everything from triggers & tactics of blackmailers to emotions and feelings and how to stand up for yourself; with great tips for how to sustain your own contract to commit to yourself and acknowledge your own right to opinions and choices. Utterly excellent!Psychological counselling should definitely use this book as the foundation for therapies.
