Review: Great when you want to use your fire table as a kindle - I bought the Fire HD 8 to use as a kindle since it was on sale so cheap and these screen protectors work perfectly to prevent glare and fingerprints on the screen!
Review: Anti-Glare Works Great! - These anti-glare screen protectors do a super job-period. I use my tablet in my truck for navigation and the glare made the screen unreadable. With these anti-glare protectors it's gone. Also, I don't get all the complaints about being difficult to install. After cleaning the tablet screen I lined up the film per instructions, pulled back some of the liner and layed the protector down. However, I did one thing differently. From years of laying striping tape and decals on autos I learned to smooth out the tape as you go. So I LIGHTLY ran the credit card wrapped in the cleaning cloth they give you along the screen protector as I laid it down. It came out fine except two tiny bubbles under the film due to specks of dirt. It's bound to happen. No problem though. If you watch their installation video it shows how to remedy this. I peeled the bubbled portion back and using some tape on the back of the protector lightly touch the tape to the dirt speck area and re-lay the film. Bubbles and dirt GONE! Perfect installation. GET THESE. AND WATCH THE INSTALLATION VIDEO!

**Q: Any issues reading books outside with?**
A: It is anti glare so it is much better than nothing at all.  I think it works as well as can be expected. I can read in places I was unable to before.

**Q: Will it fit a car touch screen that measures 8 inches diagonally?**
A: Since the screen protector is not designed for your car's touch screen, even if it covers the screen, the overall fit won't be an exact match. The dimensions of this product are 7.75" x 5.25", so it should cover your screen's diagonal measurement of 8". Since you didn't list the height and width of your screen, some trimming will certainly be necessary but how much is unknown. You are unlikely to be happy with the result of not buying a screen protector that is designed to fit the screen you are applying this to.

**Q: I see on here that the anti glare isn't popular- can something else be applied with it to help?**
A: The anti-glare is one of the reasons I bought it for my Kindle. Also, the shield doesn't smudge and smear like the screen does without the shield. The Kindle screen behind the shield is bright so you don't even notice the shield is there. Also, it wipes off very easily unlike the screen before the shield was installed.

When I first opened the package I was initially disappointed because I thought they weren't the matte finish until I took off the protective film. They are perfect for what I needed. I already anticipated they would not go on well due to the scratches I already had in my kindle, but was hoping for a magic fix for that, in no way does it affect my review of the product itself. The only reason I took a star was application was a little difficult in that I kept wiping off my screen with the alcohol wipe but then the microfiber would smudge it up again, so I felt it was not a very easy application process and took extra time. I am still pleased with the product and love it to keep the glare away while I am reading, it would be perfect for a tablet that doesn't already have scratches.
