## Description

Xeen by Rokinon is a new line of professional cine lenses. They feature all the most important specifications of a professional cine lens. The lenses are housed in a durable aluminum housing, focusing & aperture gears are smooth and accurate, focusing throw is generous, and the front lens diameter is 114mm. Xeen by Rokinon lenses are all compatible with full frame cameras and are available Canon EF, Nikon, Sony FE, Micro Four Thirds, and PL mounts. Best of all, they are affordable and are often half the price of comparable pro cine lenses!

Review: Phenomenal lens at an unbelievable price - I've been a cinematographer for over a decade now. I've used everything from the cheapest plastic lenses to $60,000+ cine zooms. When Rokinon came out with their original line of "cine" lenses, I picked a few up and used them on several shoots. Their image quality was decent for lower budget shoots, but their build quality was a joke. The housings were made from plastic and I actually had a colleague drop one on accident from about 3 feet off the ground and it just broke into pieces. So when the Xeen's were announced I was skeptical. The price was far less than Zeiss or Canon for similar lenses, so the quality couldn't be on par, could it? The answer is an amazing YES! The build quality is very, very similar to the Zeiss CP's or the Canon CN-E's and the image quality is phenomenal. Shane Hurlbut does a fantastic series of tests/comparisons/reviews on the Xeen's which I highly recommend you watch before you buy. There is a *slight* green color cast to the lenses, but it's easily dealt with in post and comparable to how the CP's cool the image or the CN-E's warm it. The lenses are razor sharp, even wide open, which is crazy. The focus is buttery smooth and even on the 24 you can get some nice DoF. Highly recommended!

**Q: How heavy is the focus ring resistance compared to a CP.2?**
A: Is very smooth, this lens is build solid, I would say just a hair tighter than the CP.2 on the focus ring area.

**Q: Will this work with the Sony A7iii or will I have to get an adaptor?**
A: If you order it as the model code XN24-NEX it will come with the  Sony E Mount attached and ready to go for all Sony E mount camera models. The picture shown is for the PL mount version of the lens but is just used for illustration purposes for all of the mount versions.

**Q: Does this lens work well with the bmpcc 6k?**
