Helen Of Troy 1501 Spring Curling Iron, White, 3/4 inch Barrel

I've been a Helen of Troy curling iron user for a number of years. The only beauty supply store I found that carried them, recently sold to new owners, and they no longer offer this brand. I've hesitated when it comes to searching for items on the Internet because I'm not that computer proficient. However, in my desperation, I've allowed my fingers to do the walking, and I'm quickly gathering testimonials on my personal searches and purchases with Amazon.Regarding my experience with this brand, I have very cotton-candy, fine, hair and as I age, it's not as thick as it used to be; consequently, fine, AND thinning, even though I wear a shorter, brush-up, style. Helen of Troy curling irons are the only brand I've found that provides the fullness I need without crimping, burning, bending the ends. The iron is so hot, and curls so well, I sometimes can get multiple days from one use. The only problem is my own clumsiness; I keep dropping them, more times than not, and that quickly shorts out the heating element depending on the type of surface it hits. It's not unusual for me to buy two replacements a year; generally, I buy in pairs because I don't want to be without a 3/4". I have one in every size from 1" down.I'm a die-hard fan of this brand and I was thrilled to find it on Amazon. Please continue to offer your varied products so we retirees still have some buying options and flexibility; especially when it's a product that has been regularly used for years. I used almost every brands but this one is the best. I've been using Helen Of Troy curling iron for years because its last long time. I usually on for over 30 minutes still it won't burn out quickly like other brands. Also temprature is just right for my fine hair. Just spring gets worn out after 2-3 years everyday using so I usually purchase extra spring for just in case. Order paper for spring is in a box.

My headline says pretty much what my review is. In the past have always loved Helen of Troy, but this newer model takes forever to heat up and then it doesn't get that hot ... have to leave the barrel on my hair for quite awhile and then my hair looks frizzed on the ends ... but if don't leave on long enough, then not much curl or HOLD !

Extremely cheaply made, but I like that it doesn't get too hot and burn my hair like the last brand I had. It doesn't have the wire stand as they have made in the past (which was way better), this model doesn't even rest on the plastic stand that is built into it. I will order more for back-up though.

Easy to use and just right for my short hair.

Disappointed with curling iron. I've used this brand for over 20 years and disappointed to find out they changed the stand from moveable metal piece to a hard piece of plastic which makes it difficult to stand up by itself. They have elongated the curling iron which makes iit more difficult to use. Would not buy another one.

This curling iron is decent for the price paid. It only has a high and low heat function, and the high isn't really all that hot, unfortunately. Otherwise, no complaints. It works well enough and the value is equivalent to the price. I nice starter curling iron if you are just beginning to curl hair.

Love this curling iron not too small curl or too large of a curl… just right! Have used this type of curling iron for 30 years!
