A: It's standard. It will fit right where your old tach was.

**Q: what size does the opening have to be and will this work on an inboard v-8**
A: 3.375" or 85mm. Opening for gauge. Works with inboard v8 has selector on back of gauge for engine type input , my gauge was set from factory .

**Q: How do wires hook up to back plig in or round terminals**
A: round terminals only>
