Review: Fits Just Right - My radio/CD player in my 2006 Honda Accord went crazy. It would play intermittently and would even turn on by itself when parked in the garage. I needed a new radio/CD player. I was so lucky to find an unused Pioneer unit at a thrift store for $15. I purchased the install kit and had no problems. It fits just right, looks good, and the wire harness adapter made hookup so much easier. I did make one modification to the harness. The wire harness still connects the always on 12v and 12v. with ignition switch on to the old radio. I was afraid that the old radio might still turn itself on and drain the battery so I disconnected the always on 12v. to the old radio. If you do that then you lose the clock memory and night lights. I connected the 12v with ignition on to the 12v always on connection for the old radio. Now the old radio has no power and cannot turn itself unless the ignition switch is on and I still have night lights.

**Q: do i get rid of old radio kit to install this? or do i install it just below the original radio ?**
A: this is to install below the original radio. you would take out the compartment under the original radio and replace it with this kit. you will also need the "Scosche Axt12 12-Inch Antenna Extension Cable" in order to keep the antenna function of the radio.

**Q: How do you get the clock set after the install? The clock is lit up and flashing for me and it will not let me set the time for it.**
A: Hold the clock button down and use the preset buttons to set the time. Turn the key and make sure the radio isn't trying to play music. Where it just shows the clock. Hard to explain over text

**Q: Do I need to cut my factory wire harness to connect on to this one, or is it as simple as plug in it in?**
A: I installed in a 2005 Honda Accord LX.  You do not need to cut anything.  You can connect the existing head unit, if you still want the clock, or connect direct and have the factory unit display off.

**Q: Will this work for my 2012 honda accord?**
A: No!  The product description clearly tells you in the Product Description that this kit is strictly for the Honda Accord 03-07.  That means 2003 through 2007.  No, it will not work for your 2012 Honda Accord.

It's fine once you get it together, but suuuuuuper flimsy. You need at least 4 hands to get it together because as soon as you snap one piece into the frame, another one falls out. It's ok for the price, though, and decent once you get the screws all attached. Adapter harness does fit a 2006 Accord.
