The test I use to know for sure is to roll the cart without pushing down on the "go" pedal. You can either push the cart or place it on a downhill slope to coast. If the cart is moving without a foot depressing the "go" pedal then you should hear a beap beap beap much like the reverse beap. If you do not hear this beap when the cart is moving during this test then you need this part. I usually remove the passeger side rear wheel to access the part. It only has two screws holding it to the motor. Once the cover is removed then you have one bolt holding the magnet in place. It's a pretty easy job. This part worked well for me and was very reasonably priced. My cart is performing normally again. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worked perfectly! *by D***R on March 15, 2024* Like others have said, this totally fixed my slow/intermittent speed problem!For me, the hardest part was getting the rear passenger wheel lug nuts off! Thank God for WD-40!Unscrewing the old part and installing the new part requires a bit of dexterity, since the space is small and awkward to reach.
