I was afraid it would not have enough body to maintain shape, but is does. It’s not stiff. I also bought the Marble color to make a crocheted clutch pattern that called for raffia. It works beautifully for this too. The marble color is beautiful. More muted than in this picture/description. It also has a tinge of green giving it a soft oceany color. It’s a blueish-green gray. I couldn’t get the exact color used but I’m really happy with how it came out! The yarn is soft and I was worried it would be too weak for a backpack, but when it’s doubled up it’s incredibly strong. Extremely happy with how much it can hold and doesn’t dig into my shoulders. I ended up using 4 skeins (to double up when I crocheted) - and have a decent amount of yarn leftover.
